Youth Leadership Trainings

The development of leadership attributes contribute greatly to the positive development of young people. Our trainings help students understand leadership concepts and the expectations of a leader. A special emphasis is placed on laying a foundation of professionalism and leadership qualities. Students will gain confidence, build character and develop essential leadership skills to meet and exceed workplace expectations in a competitive and global world.

IMPACTS trainings address all 6 competencies listed in the 2007 U.S. Department of Labor report which identified six competencies: Networking, Professionalism, Enthusiasm, Communication, Teamwork and Critical Thinking as key to the success of young workers in the 21st Century workplace.

Leadership Training

  • Personal Development analyzes students’ knowledge of self, understanding of others and strengthens awareness of moral obligations while promoting positive character traits. This area includes three workshops Self Image, Personal Accountability and Character.

  • Understanding and Acquiring Leadership Attributes examine and promote six leadership behaviors necessary to becoming an effective leader. IMPACTS offers the following workshops: First Impressions, Conflict Resolution, Decision Making, Goal Setting, Effective Communication, and Responsibility.

Business Etiquette & Leadership Training This course assists students in mastering the principles of business etiquette by developing and improving students’ social and leadership skills. TOPICS Include: First Impressions, The Art of Networking, Techno Etiquette, Dress for Success and Dine Like a Diplomat. Students apply the skills learned at the conclusion of the course with a hands - on tutorial dining experience that resembles a real business luncheon setting.
